Reflexology

Reflexology

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is an ancient therapeutic foot massage that involves massaging and working reflex points across the base of the feet which mirror the internal organs of the body.

Reflexologists will know via touch where you have imbalances throughout your mind and body. We store everything if we do not release it and the goal of reflexology is to help remove those imbalances, enabling your mind and body to find their way back to a natural state of homeostasis, or balance.

"What would I need reflexology for?"

We are all living busy lives and can find ourselves running around at a million miles per hour. This inevitably impacts our mental and physical health.

Reflexology can help you rebalance your mind and body, thus empowering you through any hardships you might be experiencing, mentally and/or physically.

Here at Hartwood Health, we have created the perfect environment for you to unwind and let go of all the things that might be weighing you down so you can leave feeling refreshed and rebalanced.

How does reflexology work?

Reflexology works by stimulating all of the 7,000+ nerve endings in your feet.

This taps into your nervous system, affecting mind and body, and when performed by a skilful practitioner will enable you to find a state of pure relaxation. This allows your mind and body to return to its natural state of homeostasis, leaving you with a sense of balance.

Who will I see?

Jen is a Reiki practitioner as well as a reflexologist.

She often combines these therapies after collecting many years of experience but welcomes patients who are interested in finding our more about either discipline independently.

What should I wear?

Please wear something comfortable to a reflexology appointment.

Loose trousers that can be rolled up to allow access to feet and lower legs are an advantage.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
