Chiropractic Therapy Session

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a regulated primary healthcare profession. Chiropractors are trained to diagnose and treat mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints and muscles). Chiropractors have a particular interest in the spinal joints, but are able to treat all joints of the body including the extremities.

Chiropractic is a manual therapy and so Chiropractors use hands-on techniques to adjust joint alignment and to help support the body's ability to heal itself without surgery or medication.

Chiropractic treatment involves a number of different techniques including spinal and joint adjustments, manual therapies, exercises and stretches, lifestyle and ergonomic advice.

What can chiropractic help?

Chiropractors are trained health professionals who specialise in diagnosing and treating conditions like back and neck pain, minor sports injuries, and sciatica.

Using techniques such as spinal and joint manipulation, alongside lifestyle advice, chiropractic care helps relieve discomfort, improve mobility, and reduce disability related to muscle and joint problems.

Common reasons people seek Chiropractic treatment include, back pain, neck pain, headaches, joint problems (e.g., shoulder, hip, knee pain).

Who will I see?

Kanika Basra operates her own business out of Hartwood Health.

She is passionate about helping people who require Chiropractic care, utilising natural and safe methods without the use of drugs and surgery.

Her desire to become a chiropractor stemmed from the notion of delivering a naturalistic way of healthcare, as she believes that people are now far more aware of the benefits that complimentary treatments can offer.

Kanika believes that the power of using a simple tool such as one’s hands to relieve pain through Chiropractic treatment, is the very thing that drives her passion for natural medicine.

In her spare time, Kanika enjoys working out at the gym and spending time with her family and friends.
