WHAT WE OFFER
Counselling
What is Counselling?
Life can bring moments that feel difficult to navigate alone — whether that's a specific challenge, a period of change, or simply feeling overwhelmed by day-to-day life.
Counselling offers a confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, away from the people and pressures of everyday life. Working with someone unconnected to your personal circumstances can make it easier to be open, and to see things more clearly.
Our counsellors are trained to build a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, empathy, and professional expertise — the foundation on which meaningful progress is made.
If you're struggling and would find it helpful to talk things through with someone independent, a free 30-minute consultation is a good place to start, with no commitment required.
Counselling helps you build a deeper understanding of your emotions by exploring your thoughts and feelings in a focused, supportive space.
Many of us carry repeating patterns in how we think and react — counselling helps identify where these patterns come from, and how to work with them differently.
Working with someone external to your day-to-day life is part of what makes this valuable. Friends and family care deeply, but they're rarely able to stay fully impartial — a counsellor can offer a perspective that's both compassionate and objective.
Counselling can support a wide range of issues, including:
Anxiety & Panic
Low Self-Esteem & Depression
Loss, Grief & Anger
Stress & Work-Related Issues
Relationship Issues & Abuse
Self-Harm & Suicidal Ideation
Gender & Sexual Identity
** If you are in crisis or at immediate risk, please don't wait for an appointment.

What Can it Help With?
What Should I Expect?
Your first session is an opportunity to talk through what's brought you to counselling, in a relaxed, unhurried way — there's no pressure to have it all figured out before you start.
During your sessions, you can expect:
A Confidential Space: Everything you share stays between you and your counsellor, within the professional and legal limits of confidentiality.
No Judgement: A space to speak openly, without needing to filter yourself the way you might with friends or family.
Your Pace: Sessions are guided by what you want to explore — there's no set script or checklist to work through.
A Collaborative Process: Your counsellor will work with you to understand your goals for therapy, revisiting and adjusting them as things develop.
There's no fixed length of time counselling should take — some people find a handful of sessions helpful, others benefit from ongoing, longer-term support.

How Do I Get Started?
Our counsellors offer a free 15–30 minute introductory session to talk through what's brought you to counselling, and whether it feels like the right fit for you.
This can be conducted face-to-face or over the phone.
There's no commitment at this stage — it's simply a valuable opportunity to see whether you feel comfortable with your counsellor before deciding whether to continue.
Please send us your enquiry to get started.
