About the package

Are you training for a sporting event?

Do you want to progress your training?  

Or are you just trying to keep healthy?

Hartwood Health are able to help you achieve your goals by providing you with a range of supporting therapies that you can use as and when you need them. You will have flexibility to select the therapy you need at the time you need it.

In a nutshell, each of the therapies that we offer will have a number of credits attached to them. Each credit is worth £30. You can build your package using these credits to have advice and support from the area you feel you most need at the time.

For example, you may wish to book weekly sports massages for the next two months. You could purchase 8 credits (£240) to do this. You may then find that you are suffering a bit of a twinge in your leg which is stopping you from training so you can then use two of your credits to have an osteopathy appointment.

What do we offer?

Sports Nutrition Consultation

Getting your nutrition and hydration right is so important when you are training. It is not just about what you eat but what you eat and drink and when. A one-hour consultation with our sports dietitian will enable you to discuss your nutritional requirements for your training and /or sport and how you can adapt your nutritional intake to maximise physical performance. This will cover aspects of fuelling, recovery, hydration and body composition with practical insights into achieving goals.

Five-Day Food Diary

You will send in a five-day food and drink diary which will be analysed by one of our dietitians. Along with the results of the analysis, you will receive a one-page report summarising 3 – 5 key nutritional areas that need to be addressed.


Body Composition Assessment

Using our clinical body composition machine (seca mBCA 525 ), we will be able to provide you with a detailed report of your body composition which will include measures of body fat, skeletal muscle mass including muscle mass in each limb and torso, visceral fat, total body water and phase angle (this reflects overall health). These are useful assessments to have as they provide you with the information on how your body is responding to your current training programme.

Sports Massage

Sports massage can help improve performance, aid recovery and prevent injury in people who undertake regular physical activity. It helps to correct problems that can occur in the soft tissue as a result of repetitive and strenuous activity.


Osteopathy can detect, treat and prevent health problems by moving, stretching and massaging a person's muscles and joints. It can help to increase joint mobility, reduce muscle pain, reduce tension in the muscles and increase the blood supply to the tissues.

Examples of packages that you may want to put together:

Package 1: 5 credits

1 x 1 hour sports nutrition consultation

2 x 30-minute massages pre and post event




Package 2:  7 credits

1 x 1-hour sports nutrition consultation

4 x 30-minute massages pre and post event

*** but then you might pick up a niggle and swap 2 x 30-minute massages credits for 1 x 45-minute osteopathy consultation



Package 3: 8 credits

1 x 1-hour sports nutrition consultation

2 x 1-hour massages pre and post event

1 x body composition assessment



These are fully flexible packages. You are not committed to having the treatments or consultations that you initially think you need.. We are here to help you with what you want!

There is an initial minimum purchase of 3 credits but you are then able to purchase as many or as few as you want.
